About SGS

SGS Engineering LLC has been expanding its engineering services since its establishment in 2007. 
Our roots go back to a Lubbock engineering company, Hicks and Ragland.  Three H&R employees left there and started Sullivan, Gray, and Smith.  A number of H&R employees later joined them, and the company became SGS Associates.  In an effort to expand, that company merged with an Albuquerque firm and became SGS Witter.  After a short stint as a TRC company, SGS Engineering emerged.
Today there are six partners, each responsible for different areas of the company.  There are four main engineering groups, transmission/distribution, protection and control, substation design, and planning.  We have about 35 employees in two locations, Lubbock, and San Antonio (Boerne).  There are 10 licensed professional engineers in the company.
